Signature in Padauk
As of 2023, all African Pterocarpus species — including African Padauk — were listed under CITES Appendix II. These tampers are new old stock. We will not make more unless sustainable sourcing through certified plantations becomes viable.
About Padauk
Padauk is a striking African hardwood, vivid orange-red when freshly cut and gradually mellowing to a warm reddish-brown with light exposure. Hard, dense, and remarkably stable — a tamper handle that doesn't move with humidity. The color alone makes it unmistakable on the bar.
