Shipping and Returns (Updated January 2025)

PLEASE READ

Reg Barber tampers are made-to-measure. The time we take crafting and preparing your tamper is what makes them special. Each handle and base is re-measured, inspected, assembled, polished and packaged prior to shipping. Bases must often be made to your exact specifications.

SHIPPING

Order Fulfillment:
We ship on Wednesdays and Fridays. Most in-stock orders will ship within two weeks. Often less. If your base needs to be custom fabricated, the wait can be longer. We'll discuss timelines by email.

If you're in a rush, we will do our absolute best to expedite, although sometimes your order will incur a rush fee. Just email martha@regbarber.com. with your questions or order number.

🇺🇸 U.S. Shipping Policy 🇺🇸
We offer flat-rate shipping and free shipping on qualifying orders within the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states).

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories (like Puerto Rico), or APO/FPO military addresses may incur additional shipping charges. If this applies to your order, we’ll reach out before shipping to confirm any extra cost.

🌍 International Shipping Policy 🌍
Shopify does not always provide the best rates for international shipments. We use a shipping aggregator that sometimes provides better rates through additional carriers. We'll always double-check rates and will reach out if there's a better option available.

CUSTOMS AND DUTIES

🇺🇸 Fear Not US Customers! 🇺🇸
Because our espresso tampers are made entirely in Canada, they qualify for duty-free entry under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). This means you shouldn’t have to pay any additional taxes or import duties when your order arrives.

If a courier mistakenly requires payment, save the receipt and reach out to us—we’ll help resolve it quickly.

🌍 International Customers 🌍
Any duties and taxes due upon the importation of our tampers are the responsibility of the recipient.

RETURNS

Because we are a made-to-measure company, we do not generally accept returns. Indeed, we haven't had even a single return request in the last five years.

That being said, if you are not satisfied, we will work to make it right. For example, occasionally a customer orders the wrong size base, or the handle doesn't quite match their expectations. In the end, our customers are always delighted.

Naturally, we guarantee our craftsmanship against defects.
