Ball

Only 2 left!

The Ball is a variation on the Palm — easy grip, satisfying heft, and a low centre of gravity that works across all tamper base sizes. A Reg experiment from the early years that's no longer in production.

From The Archive: Reg Barber no longer produces handles in this style. The remaining inventory is all new old stock.

Made in Canada by Reg Barber since 1995.

Ball in Bubinga
As of 2017, Bubinga, or African Rosewood, was placed on the endangered species list, so we've stopped using it for new tampers. These tampers are new old stock. We will not make any more unless reforestation efforts succeed in repopulating this beautiful tree through sustainable practices.

Engraving

We use an industrial CO2 laser to engrave our handles and bases with your custom designs. Most handles can be engraved on the top and along the side. We can even engrave bases!

When you select this option, we'll reach out to discuss your design ideas and how to achieve them. Please note: $25 covers file preparation and one engraving per location.

If you have any questions, email michael@regbarber.com.

About Bubinga
Bubinga, or African Rosewood, is a dense African hardwood with a deep red-brown color and dramatic, often three-dimensional figuring. Patterns called "waterfall" or "pommele" appear in the most figured pieces. Heavier than walnut, takes a fine polish, and deepens in color with use.
