This is a variation of the Signature Tall, the tamper that made Reg famous. This gives you a bit more handle to grab onto, helping ensure a flat coffee bed and that you'll find just the right tamping pressure.
When it comes to choosing materials, Eastern maple holds a special place in Reg's heart. Its dense, fine-grain wood not only exudes a natural beauty but also provides the perfect balance and weight for tamping that precious espresso shot.
All our wood handles are artisan-crafted by Reg himself, and finished by hand using Reg's proprietary mixture of food-safe natural finishes. They start out a bit glossy but develop a soft, satin patina with use.
Colors range from a very soft light to a nearly honey color. They're all beautiful. They're also available in solid wood or with a plastic insert in either white or black. Classic.
