This is a slightly shorter version of the Signature tamper handle that made Reg world famous in the 1990s. It provides the same, reassuring grip as its larger cousin, but shortened a bit for smaller hands.
Western "Big Leaf" Maple is a hardwood species native to the Pacific Northwest. Less dense than its Eastern "Hard" Maple cousin, this tamper is lighter but has a beautiful, soft color palette that can range from a pale to warm, honey color.
All our wood handles are artisan-crafted by Reg himself, and finished by hand using Reg's proprietary mixture of food-safe natural finishes. They develop a soft, satin patina with use.
